Incredible can be described as impossible, or very difficult to believe; extremely good; or too extraordinary and improbable to be believed.
If you described something or someone as incredible, you like them very much or are impressed by them, because they are extremely or unusually good.
If you say that something is incredible, you mean that it is very unusual or surprising, and you cannot believe it is really true, although it may still be true.
Other words for incredible are fantastic, grand, marvellous, terrific, wonderful, astonishing, astounding, unbelievable, amazing, unimaginable, etc.
Our God is incredible. His personality is incredible. His doings are incredible. His ways are incredible. He also transform mere men into incredible beings, and do incredible things through them.
In Luke 5: 17-26, while Jesus was teaching one day, the Pharisees and Scribes were present, watching to entrap Him with His words or doing. He addressed them with incredible wisdom that they could not match.
He also perfumed an incredible healing. A paralysed man that was brought by His friends was healed by Jesus Christ, to the extent that all those who were present marvelled greatly.
Luke 5: 25-26
"And immediately, as everyone watched, the man jumped up, picked up his mat, and went home praising God. Everyone was gripped with great wonder and awe, and they praised God, exclaiming, "We have seen amazing things today"".
God allowed some people in the bible to experience incredible things in their lives. Such that their testimonies were huge and undeniable. Such testimonies in turn generate great belief in power and believe in the Almighty God.
In Exodus 3: 1-4, Moses saw the incredible power of God in action. A bush was in flames, but it was not consumed. It was unbelievable to Moses. It got his rapt attention. As he drew closer, God was able to deliver his incredible calling and assignment to him.
Exodus 3: 1-4
"One day Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law; Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulf in flames, it didn't burn up. "This is amazing," Moses said to himself. "Why isn't that bush burning up? I must go and see it." When the Lord saw Moses coming to take a look, God called to him from the middle of the bush, "Moses! Moses!" "Here I am" Moses replied."
As Jacob was running away from his brother - Esau, he got to a place called Luz at night, a settlement along the wilderness route he was travelling to Syria, and decided to take a rest. Here, God showed him an incredible vision. He saw a ladder reaching from earth to heaven, and the angels of God ascending and descending. At the end of the ladder was God saying incredible things to him.
When he got up from sleep, he was amazed that he could have such an encounter at such a place, and that God could show such interest in Him. The kind of promises that God made to him were just super incredible.
That singular encounter gave Jacob s different perspective about Luz, he immediately saw the location as the house of God, and the gate of heaven. He made sure that he hollowed the place and changed its name to Bethel - the house of God.
Genesis 28: 16-17
"Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the Lord is in this place, and I wasn't even aware of it!" But he was also afraid and said, "What an awesome place this is! It is none than the house of God, the very gateway to heaven!"
The Almighty God has impressed it upon my spirit that He is ushering us into a season of incredible experiences from Him. God is poised to demonstrate His incredible power in our lives, in our midst, and on our behalf.
The Lord has planned to do for us what can simply be termed as impossible and unbelievable. He is determined to perform in our lives something extraordinary and improbable to believe or imagine.
God will grant us blessings the are grand, astonishing and wonderful. The Lord will grant us revelations that are terrific. He will grant us wisdom that is rare and understanding that is uncommon.
The Lord will make novel promises to us that will be considered astounding. He will surprise us beyond belief. The Lord will also use us to do the incredible things for Him from now on. Our lives will be filled with amazing testimonies. Our hands will be used to perform wonders. Our mouths will be used to declare unmatched wisdom.
May the God who is immortal, invincible, and only wise, perform all these and many more incredible things for us in Jesus mighty name.
